my kittens name is coco.

she is a year old.

she is black.

she likes running arount everywhere and sleeping. 

she hates people she doesnt know and she hates people rubbing her tummy.

her habits are: she lies on the floor like an otter, and she likes sniffing feet.

her favorite place is infront of the door so she is in the sun or on the fold out couch bed thing.

she is pretty weird.

Goals for group work, math, reading, writing, and personal goals

 my goal for group work is to get better at not getting distracted because everytime my class does problem solving i end up talking instead of trying to solve the problem. 

My math goal is to improve my knowleg about math, so i can solve harder problems insted of being stuck. 

My reading goal is to get faster at reading, so im able to keep up with the other people reading, like this morning when everyone finished reading i wasnt finished reading. 

My writing goal is to write longer stories so that they have more content possibly make them more interesting to.

And my personal goal is to not get distracted while doing my work so that i can get it finished and not miss out on things because of it.

rocket challenge

 my class were doing the wonder project rocket challenge. what you have to do is, make a rocket, test it, make some modifications, and test it again. part of this challenge was isaac newtons laws of motion.

number one. An object will remain still and or keep moving unless there is another force acting on it.

number two. Force and mass together makes acceleration 

number three. For every action there is an equal and opposite force.

those are his laws.

when my team tested are rocket, it went pretty high before it landed. it went probably 1.5 metres off the ground. speaking of, here is my team.

GOALS FOR TERM 2

My curriculum goals for term 2 is to not get distracted and finish my work faster. Because when i'm doing my work i get distracted by someone and start talking with them. I will ignore them and carry on with my work. 

My other curriculum goal is to be better at pronouncing mandarin, so if i ever go china, i will be able to understand them and respond to them. 

My non curriculum goal is to be BETTER at art. cause i am not that good at it, cause when i'm painting, i always paint out of the lines, as well as when i'm drawing, and i don't want that to happen.

 

Otaki college BOLLARDS

 W.A.L.T express our ideas about the bollards installed along our driveway. We are using descriptive language and checking our sentence structure is correct in our blog writing.

On wednesday 17th of march, which was three days ago for methe school got a new addition, bollards. they are there so people don't go on the road and to keep us safe. So we don't get hit by a car.

There blue like the school's color and they have chains on them so people can't just walk outside them, so they don't get injured. But yeah they're pretty cool its not stopping anyone from going on the road but that doesnt matter.

You2 board game

 Me and my friend Simon made a board game called, you2. This is how to play. 

You choose the color of your counter cyan yellow green and red. 

Then you put your counter on the board. 

When the game starts the people playing with you discuss who should go first. 

Whoever does picks up a card and the number on the card is how many spaces you move on the board. 

But there are some trick cards. 

One card can take you back all the way back to the start. Another card can make you swap with the person in front or behind you.

And when you are finished you start all over again of course.

the resources are, a board cards counters which me and Simon just ended up having to just cut up some paper.

 I want to be a police officer when i grow up. how do I get the job? I don't know that yet. But i will know soon. When do I want to get the job? When im 27. Why do I want the job? because well it's cool and when someone is "mean" to me I can just pull out the badge.

 did I learn anything about DARE an Kaitiakitanga for DARE I learnt that too many drugs can kill you and for the Kaitiakitanga in learnt that it is really important and it means guardianship. have I achieved ROAR in class I have achieved for this week is RESPECT because I would be looking at the teacher and listening. how do you like epic? and why? i like epic because there is so many books to choose from.

My R.O.A.R value

I think responsibility is the most important r.o.a.r value because it means remembering your stuff for an example your chromebook.If you aren't responsible you have to do work on a book.And if you are responsible you listen to the teacher so you know what to do.And you wouldn't lose your uniform... like me.So that is my explanation for Responsibility.  

What i learnt in Algebra

W.A.L.T use in Algebra the order of operation

I learnt that in algebra if there is a missing number in the problem you put a number in the space of the missing number until you find out what the missing number is.For an example Xx3=9.It is confusing because the i put the letter x in a times problem but if you solve the problem then you can change the letter into the answer 3x3=9.And that is how you solve an algebra problem.

The holidays

In the holidays last Tuesday i went to Levin with my mum.we went for three reasons 1 we had to turn mum's 2 american $5 notes into New Zealand money.but we found out it was only $4 so she said it wasn't worth it so then we left reason 2 is that we wanted to visit my cousins house there names are Tawie and nikou and my auntie's name is Kerri.reason 3 was i was getting $50 from my grandma i don't know what her name is oh well.

Then me and my cousins went to the dairy across the road and we bought a bag of lollies each and 2 scoops of hot chips.We went back home and obviously ate the hot chips and some time later me my mum my grandma and my cousins went to the Warehouse were everyone gets a bargain that's what it says on the building.so we went inside and me and my mum were there cause i was going to buy something with my $50.I was going to get something called Minecraft mini's and my cousins and grandma were there cause Tawie wanted to buy some tennis balls cause he had money too and they were staying at my grandma's retirement home.

When we left to go home cause my grandma said they were walking i already opened my Minecraft mini's which are toys. i got four of them bye the way there $6 each.I got a horned blue sheep 2 cluckshrooms which are just red chickens with mushrooms growing on them and a bunny which isn't even on the list or in the series Oh well.Then we went home.

My weekend kinda

On Friday i went to tow bar express in Wellington with my mum and my step dad's mum Selena.We went there because Selena needed a tow bar and we sad in the office for awhile until me and my mum decided to go get some food from McDonald's.we asked Selena but she didn't want any so we didn't get her any. Of course we had to wait at the crossing...a lot but eventually we made it we both got a burger and hot chips my mum got coke i think? and i got water because i don't like fizzy.

the lady behind the desk in the office kindly gave us the password to the WiFi.So my mum let me go on her phone and watch YouTube.I didn't keep track of the time but the lady behind the desk said we had to wait either two hours or one and a half hours.i don't know why but the back of Selena's car was really dirty no offence to her if that is offensive.and then Selena dropped us off back at home.   

Queen's birthday

the day has been celebrated since 1788 when governor Arthur Philip declared a holiday to mark the birthday of the king of great Britain. until 1936 it was held on the actual birthday of the monarch, but after King George V past away it was decided to keep the day on the second Monday in June.

on the Queen's birthday I did everything I usually do in the morning I wake up watch YouTube on my Chromebook eat breakfast and clean my teeth.But because its Queen's birthday I didn't have to go to school. So I went back on my Chromebook.

 until dinner of course. I don't remember what i had for dinner but I did go to my cousins the day before queen's birthday but that was Sunday not queen's birthday.And I have two favourite parts the first one is that i don't have to put my uniform on. And the second one is that people get confused and go to college and wonder where there teachers are.
